What is Makaton?
Makaton is a unique language programme that uses signs, symbols and speech together to support people who find communication difficult. It helps children with autism, Down's syndrome, language delay and other communication needs to express themselves — reducing frustration and building confidence from day one.

Taster Session
90–120 minsA relaxed introduction to Makaton — meet the signs, symbols and the why behind them. Great for parents, teams, family groups or community events. F2F or Zoom.

Level 1 Workshop
2 half-days · 10:00–14:00 incl. breaks (4 hrs/day)Covers Stages 1 & 2 of the Makaton Core Vocabulary. Delivered over two half-days — the main way we run it. Nationally recognised certification — ideal for parents, carers, early years staff and SEN practitioners. Full-day (7.5 hr) INSET format available on request.

Level 2 Workshop
2 half-days · 10:00–14:00 incl. breaks (4 hrs/day)Covers Stages 3 & 4 of the Makaton Core Vocabulary, building on Level 1. Delivered over two half-days — the main way we run it. Deepens vocabulary, grammar and confidence using Makaton in everyday settings. Full-day (7.5 hr) INSET format available on request.

Levels 1 & 2 Bundle
4 half-days over 2 sessions (4 hrs/day)Book Level 1 and Level 2 together at a discounted rate. The complete foundation, delivered as four half-days across two scheduled sessions.

Levels 3 & 4 Bundle
4 half-days over 2 sessions (4 hrs/day)Complete the advanced Core Vocabulary across two scheduled sessions — four half-days total.

Bespoke / INSET at Your Setting
Half day (4 hrs) · Full day (7.5 hrs) · TwilightTraining delivered at your school, nursery, healthcare or community setting. Choose a half-day (4 hrs), full day (7.5 hrs) or twilight session. 50% deposit secures the date; balance due 7 days before. Refresher / follow-up half-days from £250.
Twilight £350 · Half-day INSET £450 · Full-day INSET £750 (up to 15 delegates, +£20 pp beyond)

- All prices include participant manuals (Levels 1–4) and CPD certificates where applicable — no hidden extras.
- Travel within ~10 miles of Salisbury is complimentary; beyond this, 45p / mile is quoted upfront.
- Online Zoom courses: max 12 delegates (11 for taster); manuals posted ahead of the course, free to UK mainland.
- Community & charity rate: a discretionary ~20% discount may be available for registered charities, CICs and family groups — please mention when enquiring.
